Edgewater East Community Development District
The Edgewater East Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on June 16, 2020 by the Board of County Commissioners of Osceola County, Ordinance No. 2020-49 as an alternative method of planning, acquiring, operating and maintaining community-wide improvements in planned communities.
An elected board shall have the power to levy and assess a non-ad valorem special assessment on all benefited property in the district to construct, operate and maintain assessable improvements. The fiscal year of the district runs from October 1 – September 30.
The Edgewater East CDD is located entirely within the boundaries of Osceola County, Florida and covers approximately 1,284.715 acres of land. The real property within the boundaries of the District is east of Lake Tohopekaliga, west of the Florida Turnpike, north of Gator Bay Slough and one each side of Kissimmee Park Road.
