Edgewater East Community Development District
The Edgewater East CDD is located entirely within the boundaries of Osceola County, Florida and covers approximately 1,284.715 acres of land. The real property within the boundaries of the District is east of Lake Tohopekaliga, west of the Florida Turnpike, north of Gator Bay Slough and one each side of Kissimmee Park Road. The District will serve a portion of the Edgewater development (the "Development" or "Edgewater"), a master planned, mixed use development located in unincorporated Osceola County, Florida. Please note that the District may be expanded in the future to included additional lands located within the Development and referred to in the Engineer’s report as Expansion Parcels.
The exclusive charter for the District shall be the uniform community development district charter (Uniform Charter) as set forth in Florida Statutes 190. The Uniform Charter grants certain general and special powers. The District may exercise the additional powers to finance, fund, plan, establish, acquire, construct, reconstruct, enlarge or extend, equip, operate and maintain systems, and facilities for parks and facilities for indoor and outdoor recreational, cultural and educational uses, and for security, all as authorized and described by Sections 190.012(2)(a) and (2)(d), Florida Statutes (2019).

The Edgewater East Community Development District is a local, special-purpose government entity authorized by Chapter 190 of the Florida Statutes as amended, and established on June 16, 2020 by the Board of County Commissioners of Osceola County, Ordinance No. 2020-49. The Board consents to special powers set forth in Section 190.012(1)(2)(a) and (2)(d), Florida Statutes (2019).
